Two Ring

The Two-Ring Bit, commonly known as a Pessoa Bit, is easily recognized by its additional rings above and below the main bit rings. The top ring attaches to the cheekpiece, while the bottom ring is used for rein attachment. When pressure is applied to the rein, the top ring tilts forward, creating leverage for increased control.

With multiple rein placements, riders can adjust the level of leverage to suit different riding situations. The strength of the bit’s impact is influenced by factors such as the mouthpiece type and material.

Proper education and technique are essential when using a Two-Ring Bit to ensure the safety and comfort of both horse and rider.
